Do you have old silver jewellery, silver cutlery, silver coins or other silver items lying unused at home? At Tavex AB, you can sell your silver safely, easily and transparently.

The value is primarily based on the weight of the item, its silver purity and the current market price of silver. We assess your silver directly in-store and give you an offer before you decide whether you want to sell.

Which silver items and purities do we buy?

We buy many different types of silver, from individual pieces of jewellery and cutlery to silver coins, bars and other silver items.

We buy, among other things:

• Silver jewellery – including old, damaged or broken jewellery.
• Silver cutlery and tableware – for example spoons, forks, knives and serving utensils.
• Silver coins – depending on their type and silver content.
• Silver bars and investment silver.
• Other silver items where the silver purity can be verified.

Silver purity: We buy silver from 500 purity up to 999 fine silver, including common sterling silver 925.

Your item does not always need to have a clearly visible hallmark. Our staff can test the silver purity in-store.

How the in-store process works

1. Free assessment: We inspect, weigh and test your silver in front of you at one of our stores.
2. Offer: You receive an offer based on the silver purity, weight and Tavex’s current purchase price.
3. Quick payout: If you accept the offer, the transaction is completed and the payment is processed quickly.

Do you need a written valuation certificate, for example for insurance or inheritance purposes? Please contact us in advance, as a fee may apply.

Sell silver directly in-store

Unlike gold, Tavex currently does not purchase silver through the Gold Envelope or by post.

To sell silver, you therefore need to visit one of our Tavex stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö.

You normally do not need to book an appointment — simply bring your silver with you and our staff will help you on-site.

• Items with silver content that is too low or cannot be verified.
• Platinum or palladium as part of our standard silver purchasing service.
• Diamonds, gemstones and pearls are not included in the silver value.
